My Skin Care Routine

By classy and fabulous · February 10, 2011

Today I want to do something a little different from what I normally do. I want to share with you my skin care routine. First let me tell you about my skin. I am so lucky! I rarely get any acne and when I do it's gone fast, which is strange because both my parents had trouble with acne growing up. Clearly it's not all genetics. I would describe my skin as combination because I do get an oily T-zone (forehead, nose and chin area) but the rest it dry. My only problems is black heads. They are not terrible or anything just small and on my nose, but they are still annoying. What I am going to share with you is what works for me so I am not saying it will necessarily work for you.

In the morning:

1-Moisten my face with warm water, not hot, and then I use Spectro Gel for Dry/Sensitive skin and rise with warm water

2- Then I dry my face, splash it with cold water and then pat dry again.

3- As soon as I have the majority of the water off I put on Nivea Soft Cream or if I know I am going to be outside for more than 20 minutes I make sure I use a cream with an SPF. Aveno makes great face creams with SPF in them. I make sure I rub it in well all over my face, as well as eye lids and neck. It is best to moisturize right after being washed because it traps the moisture in your skin.

In the Evening:

1- First I remove my makeup using Vaseline (I know it is kind of weird but it works, if it grosses you out I recommend Nivea Gentle Eye Makeup Remover).

2- I then go through the same process as in the morning.

3- If I have a pimple I use Clean and Clear Spot Treatment, It works really well, it is a clear gel that dry really quickly.

4- Also I usually put a thick lip balm on at night, and once again Vaseline works great for this.

Other Tips:

1- Every other week I use Biore Nose Strips to help get rid of black heads.

2- Drink LOTS of water, I do this and my skin feels totally different compared to when I am dyhydrated.

3- You don't need any special-expensive face washes or creams. If you have fairly clear skin, just make sure you remove makeup and moisturize.

This what works for me, let me know about your skin care routine tips!

My Favourites From Stockholm Fashion Week

By classy and fabulous · February 4, 2011

The eyes are beautiful and I love the contouring.

This is the most amazing pair of shoes I have ever seen! From Whyred Autumn-Winter 2011/2012

This retro look is really chic and simple! From the Carin Wester show.

I love the sequin skirt with the wool sweater. The coral is stunning as well. Also from Whyred.

Hot pink clutch? This will be at the top of my spring wardrobe list! Once again Whyred.

I absolutely love this lipstick!

Layering is wonderful especially when done like this. Long wool sweater over a short skirt with a black trench. It's amazing!

This is from the Tiger of Sweden show.
